Carnival Sports

Swimming

Early in Term 1 students have the opportunity to earn points for their House by participating at the Brisbane Aquatic Centre at Chandler.  Students who excel in Swimming can move on to compete at the South District Carnival and the Regional / Metropolitan East Carnival.

Citipointe Christian College has a Swimming Club onsite which provides coaching and regular racing. Swimmers who are wanting to compete at higher levels or want additional training are encouraged to attend. 

Cross Country

The Cross Country competition begins with the Secondary House Carnival in Term 1 where students have the opportunity to earn points for their House.   Students who excel in Cross Country move on to the South District competition, with Regional / Metropolitan East following.  Students have the opportunity to train with the Citipointe Cross Country team to improve their technique and times. 

Cross Country training is held in Term 1 and early Term 2, on and around the Citipointe campus with breakfast provided post-training. Training is coordinated by the College Athletics coach, Mr Vince DiDato and is held on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings 7am- 8am. Please see Citipointe Central for more detail.

Track & Field

Citipointe Secondary students enjoy the House Carnival at the end of Term 2 each year.  They have the opportunity to gain House points and have fun along the way.  Students who perform well at the House Carnival earn the opportunity to attend the South District Carnival, Regional / Metropolitan East and the CSSA Carnivals later in the year.

Athletics training is conducted in Term 2 and early Term 3. After school sessions are coordinated by the College Coach Vince DiDato.  Schedules are published via Citipointe Central.
